Once you’ve sourced your content and checked that it is copyright compliant, you will be ready to share the securely generated FLEX link with your students and/or academic staff.
To give your colleagues and students the best experience in accessing the resource it is imperative that you use the ‘Copy link’ button beneath the displayed URL, as illustrated in the below screen shot, rather than sourcing the unique FLEX link in any other way. Once this button has been selected, the link will automatically be copied, ready for you to paste directly into your learning management system or other online learning environment.
There is a single, unique link generated for each page range selected. Provided each FLEX link is copied and shared using the exact method detailed above, the links will not break and can be shared within any environment that accepts external URLs.
If you need to preview the student experience in accessing a particular extract you can do so by clicking on the individual hyperlinked URL.
^ Do not copy the URL from the FLEX eReader as shown above as it can result in errors.
Note: You would have provided your LMS details while setting up FLEX. Only authenticated students can access this link. See the article on 'Setting up authentication in FLEX' for more information.
