'Clone content' allows you to skip the search and confirmation of bibliographical details for a piece of content that you have already created previously.
For example: You have searched for a book and have created a link to the extract you wanted, now you want to use the same extract for a different unit.
You can use the 'Clone content' option to duplicate that item and apply it to the new unit.
'Clone content' is accessible two ways.
1. Cloning content from a unit
From the menu, look for 'Units of study' and click on 'View units'.
Find the unit that contain the item you want to clone, and click on 'View Content'.
You will see a list of all the content items assigned to the unit. Search for the content item you want to clone, click on 'Clone content'.
It will open a popup for you to confirm you want to duplicate the content item. Once you have accepted, you will land on a new 'Add content' page. Follow the prompts to create another reading link.
2. Cloning content from 'Add content'
In 'Add content' when you have created a link, you can directly use the 'Clone Content' option.
It will open a popup for you to confirm you want to duplicate the content item. Once you have accepted, you will land on a new 'Add content' page, and just need to follow the prompts to create another reading link.
