There are 2 ways to track a scan you have ordered to the British Library via FLEX.
1. From the homepage, go the the British Library section. All your orders will be listed in this section.
- 'Order submitted': this section lists all your orders that are in the queue to be reviewed by the British Library.
- 'Awaiting your approval': your order has been delivered. Click on this link to access the scan awaiting approval. It will take you to the fully detailed 'Add content' page where you can preview it, view the details of the order and accept it in the 'Attach content & share link' section.
Note:
- Typically a scan will be delivered between two and five business days. After five days, please check the scan request is not listed in 'Unable to provide' and contact Flex support or the British Library directly.
- If any issue with the quality of the scan, you can click on 'Report a problem'.
- If you accept the scan, you will be charged for it and the link to the extract will be automatically generated.
- 'Unable to provide': even though your order was accepted when you submitted your request, sometimes the British Library can't provide a scan and your order will be listed in this section.
- 'View all': this section lists all your orders
2. From ‘Reports’ in the menu, select ‘British Library reporting’ in the dropdown and indicate the dates you want the report to run from and to.
It will download a .csv file with a list of all your orders. You can track each order status in column P 'BL order status'.
